Started a new project this weekend
I never kept track of the chests i found, so now I'm going through and checking every chest location. I'll also be grabbing any stray spincrystals while I'm at it. This is the progress i made today and yesterday (after getting lantern rite stuff done, of course)

nothing like that in 1.0 when people fought hard to get full stamina meter, with Liyue and Mondstadt as the only providers
it was uphill both ways to school lol
I just feel dumb when I do that 😭
there are basically no good video guides and the interactive map pins for liyue and mondstadt are really terrible, they're either in the wrong place or the 'guide' attached is for a different chest
save your sanity and maybe don't do this
as of inazuma there are a couple of really good follow along guides on youtube, i especially liked reader gaming since they didn't fast forward any footage and you can actually keep pace with them, and they have a guide for every area upto nod krai
but as of nod krai the guides are just about useless anyway unfortunately since the compass gets everything except a handful of chests [and there are good video guides for getting those, but most of them are in japanese/chinese
good luck
I'll probably stick with the pins until after i finish monstadt since it has the most simple terrain. After that I'll swap to video guides. Thx for the recommendation!
but again as I said good luck I hope you can find all of them !!
I personally use the official map to mark the pins and if I have a doubt with something I go look at the community map.
https://youtu.be/14lFOGoQfDM is an excellent video, he got one for Mondstadt as well.
but im glad new players have better options, thanks for pointing this out
Seriously though, I started this with Mondstadt about a year ago. Im now done with Mondstadt, Liyue, Dragonspine, Inazuma, Enkonomiya, Chasm and Chenyu Vale. I haven't started with Sumeru yet. If you really want to double check everything, thats gonna take you a while.
My tips:
Do it at your own pace, stop when you dont feel like it, mark the stuff as map marker ig before you go looking for it and divide the subregions into sub areas along paths or natural borders. Also i didn't know until a few months ago, you can use elemental sight on the seelie resting places to find the seelie itself.
Other then that, gl hf, its worth it, knowing that a region is 100% empty is really satisfying
But the synchronisation to your in-game data outdo the inconvenience of the purge a thousand fold. The only issues I have are some books that aren't perceived as read for whatever reason.
The interactive map there is pretty convenient. I wish Genshin would do the same since it's pretty hard to play catch-up with exploration + interactive map.
come back later to tell me about your newly found sumeru ptsd
