whatever happened to the anime of genshin?

it's been years since it's been announced and i haven't heard a single info about it since then... did they drop the anime??

It’s in production still. It’s coming. Maybe next year.

It's being made ny Ufotable and they're currently busy with Demon Slayer. Once they're done with that, they'll pick up Genshin.

Or they won't, given the current political climate.

And the newest region in HSR was done and had to be reworked at least to some acceptable degree.

Point is, political climate right now is bad, tensions are high, if things get worse in the next couple of years, it might never happen

There’s no reason to assume the worst. The show is progressing smoothly. Let it. If it happens to all fall down then oh well but as of right now, nothing suggests it will.

I'm not assuming anything, just observing a possibility.

I don't even watch anime so I have no stakes in this releasing or not. If it does, good for people. If it doesn't, too bad but whatever.

Uh...I assume you don't read a lot of Genshin news, do you? The lead writer already said in his latest interview less than a month ago that the anime is in production and is going pretty smoothly.

The word I've heard is that UFOTable, the company they hired to make the anime, is busy with Demon Slayer and only works on one project at a time. Genshin is on deck for when that's done with.

There's been no official news, though. All we can do is wait.
