I am so confused. Why Dottore think closing up the false sky can prevent the falling of the moon? Is he really the Doctor? Doesn't even seem to be the Bachelor to me
Look at his confident smiling. Does he ever know physics?
Bro dropped out of college. He arrogantly thought himself more all knowing that the god of wisdom and literally ended up working for a group called fool's.
He's thr number 2 fool harbinger.

Crack theory, but I'm certain it was intentional. Rather than let the Moon come in unimpeded, letting it burst through the false sky, in theory, should weaken the integrity of the false sky as a whole.

Nice to see someone else put a little thought into it. This is exactly what I thought, too.

why he would want to weaken the fake sky if he can literally open it? Probably he could even erase if he wanted. Not to mention, I don't get why people got the idea he wanted to wake HP when he backed up and negotiated with Nahida to stop her for doing that. Granted, time has passed and he could changed his mind but throwing this plot without a single foreshadow is just bad writing.

If she sky-shield would have been closed completely, our connection to the moon would have been severed and the approach would have been halted.

but no one can stop the moon falling once it passed Roche limit. the only way for Doctor to stop it is to push it out of the limit

I don't think Genshin is that scientific. :'D

I'm confused why didn't he just use his sound wave again to knock people out like he did in Sumeru? Also the one thing that the traveler's plot armor didn't make them immune to.

That was probably some gadget that the all powerful trilunatic thought unnecessary to carry around now that he believes himself a god.
