I found an old map pre-Sumeru that speculated how the World would shape in the future

It's incredible what the lore back then gave us to speculate just from a few books around the world.

There was a really rough map in the CBT version.

Most of the speculations come from there.
(Not that the art isn't well done).

No they want to force players into specific cutscenes for world-building and an open-world setting goes against that.

It's just that they started making every nation into an island for some reason.

The only thing that really bothers me about this is the sumeru natlan border, I think the desert should have stretched further west and maybe have a mountain range before the coast and the natlan island.

It's interesting that they guessed Snezhnograd correctly, because I don't remember that name being mentioned anywhere before Nod Krai

Grad is just a Russian word for city. It’s following the same naming as the other cities in game so it just translates to “Snezhnaya City”

Ah, I remember this map, back when we thought the Hydro Archon wanted to "judge all other gods" and overall acted the way she did because (we thought) Celestia was stationed directly above Fontaine.

Back when the OG creator of this map posted it I laughed at them straight up putting the Popocatépetl in there.

Actually crazy that they guessed a "land of the godless" (nod-krai) north of natlan, in hindsight
